Welcome to EarlK Design!

The EarlK Design blog consists mainly of entries that show how to do things using Adobe Photoshop that I hope you will find helpful and give your creative mind more tools to work with.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS6, and sometimes Adobe Illustrator CS5, Lightroom 5, and Corel Painter X. However, I believe that much of what I show can be done using Photoshop Elements.

Texture Tuesday with Kim Klassen

In the recent past, I have taken several online classes about textures with Kim Klassen at Kim Klassen Cafe. She is really an excellent teacher. Her classes are very enjoyable and extremely informative. She has a series that challenges you to use your image to which you have applied at least one of her textures. This is my first entry into the Texture Tuesday Challenges.

One of the ways to get your final challenge image displayed on her site is to link your image that is posted on your Blog to her site. Or, if you don't have a blog, but have your images posted, say at Flickr, then you can link to that. So, I will post my entry challenges here on my Blog when I do one of them.

Here is my entry for the Tuesday, May 24, 2011, Texture Tuesday Challenge. Part of the challenge was that it had to contain at least one layer of Kim's 'yesteryear' texture. My image contains one layer of Kim's 'yesteryear' texture and one layer of her 'serendipity' texture. If you want to see a larger version of the image, click on the image.

As Kim would say 'Okie doke....let the fun begin...'

Until next time, enjoy life.
