Welcome to EarlK Design!

The EarlK Design blog consists mainly of entries that show how to do things using Adobe Photoshop that I hope you will find helpful and give your creative mind more tools to work with.

I use Adobe Photoshop CS6, and sometimes Adobe Illustrator CS5, Lightroom 5, and Corel Painter X. However, I believe that much of what I show can be done using Photoshop Elements.

In Memory

My cousin died today, 2 January 2012, at the age of 99. This page is in her memory. The photograph was taken in 1925 near Sacramento, California. My cousin is the person at the left of the photo. They were there picking grapes.

This layout is for the Texture Tuesday with Kim Klassen for 3 January 2012. The Photograph has the texture kk_yesteryear applied with Soft Light and 100% Opacity. The flowers area has kk_golden texture with blending mode Hue at 100% Opacity. The outer edges of the layout were burned in on a 50% gray layer set at Soft Light.

That's all for this Texture Tuesday.

Earl
