Another Tuesday is upon us and it's time for another Texture Tuesday with Kim Klassen. Our guideline for this eDition didn't come out until Monday, so i did not have a chance to give you many details. The guideline was:
I used one of my old photos from my father's old photo album. This was taken probably early 1917. It shows him and others in a crew that was picking lemons during a record bumper crop of lemons in Southern California. Labor for picking the crop was is short supply. My father was one that helped pick the lemons. Here is my Black & White with Just a Touch of Color.
I created a background paper using two of my watercolor papers and Kim's kk_abstract texture. These were blended and then a hue / saturation adjustment layer was used to almost desaturate the background; but not quite. There is a slight hint of color left in the background. I cleaned up the old black and white photo a little and then gave it a slight sepia tone. I had created my tree using the pen tool. I added the colored lemons on my tree for the Touch of Color.
That's all for now.
Live life fully.
Welcome to EarlK Design!
The EarlK Design blog consists mainly of entries that show how to do things using Adobe Photoshop that I hope you will find helpful and give your creative mind more tools to work with.
I use Adobe Photoshop CS6, and sometimes Adobe Illustrator CS5, Lightroom 5, and Corel Painter X. However, I believe that much of what I show can be done using Photoshop Elements.
