Welcome to EarlK Design!
The EarlK Design blog consists mainly of entries that show how to do things using Adobe Photoshop that I hope you will find helpful and give your creative mind more tools to work with.
I use Adobe Photoshop CS6, and sometimes Adobe Illustrator CS5, Lightroom 5, and Corel Painter X. However, I believe that much of what I show can be done using Photoshop Elements.

For this week's Collage Obsession. Linda gave us:
Collage obsession --Steampunk
Saturday, February 8th, is the birthday of Jules Verne. Verne was a French author who pioneered the genre of science-fiction. He is best known for his novels "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (1864), "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" (1870), and "Around the World in Eighty Days" (1873).
Verne wrote about space, air, and underwater travel before navigable aircraft and practical submarines were invented, and before any means of space travel had been devised. He paired these futuristic inventions with a droll Victorian sensibility, and may be considered on of the fathers of 'Steampunk' as well as of science fiction.
He is the third most translated author of all time, behind Disney Productions and Agatha Christie.
So, off we go into the Victorian world of future past.
I will use two illustrations from Jules Verne book, "From the Earth to the Moon, Direct in Ninety-Seven Hours and Twenty Minutes: and a Trip Round It."
I also used a NASA Space Telescope image.
In addition, I used images of gears, watches, the full moon, and I even sneaked in the kiosk from Dr. Who.
This is what I created in the end.
I hope you enjoy this creation. Be sure to go to Collage Obsession and see what others have done.
That's all for now.
Live life fully.
